Since 1968, this massive museum occupies a major portion of the Fateh Prakash Palace, which lies within the walls of the fort of Chittorgarh. Its eclectic display includes 8th -9th century post-medieval sculptures of Ganapati, from the ancient region of Pangarh, the statues of Ambika, and Indra from the village of Rashmi, exquisite clay models of the tribal people of Rajasthan in their traditional outfits etc. The archaeological museum also forms a major portion of this museum. Other sections and displays include an art gallery, coins, wood crafts from the village of Bassi, depictions of tribal life, armoury, and weapons.
