Mandore was the former capital of Marwar, and thus it comes as no surprise that this archaeological museum, cum Rajasthan archive cum Rajasthan museum displays some of the more precious artefacts that pertain to the vibrant history of the region. The whole area of Mandore is dotted with beautifully carved cenotaphs, which are also a part of the museum exhibition. The museum has a crocodile measuring 11-foot, and an African bison as a part of its display. Other attractions include miniature paintings based on the Raga-Raginis, hand carved sculptures of gods and goddesses, etc.
