Temple of Lord Brahma
Pushkar attractions can match the prime attractions of any city in Rajasthan. The Brahma temple of Pushkar is reportedly the only temple in the world wherein Lord Brahma is worshipped. Not surprisingly this one of the main Pushkar attractions.
A four-armed, life sized statue is housed inside the temple. The temple flooring and stairs are made of marble and the structural design of the temple is spell binding to the core.
This Pushkar attraction is very sacred for the Hindus. According to Hindu mythology, a lake of clear blue water originated when a few petals from the lotus of Lord Brahma fell on Earth.
The lake is surrounded by 52 ghats, 52 palaces, and 500 temples. The annual Pushkar fair is organized on the banks of the lake on the occasion of 'Kartik Purnima'
